Does anyone know anything about ley lines in relation to earthquakes and earthquake fault lines? Two more earthquakes in San Francisco area this week. I haven't had a chance yet to go out to the fault lines to see what the energy feels like.

Hi folks, I'm Xóbel...

I haven't studied much in the field of geomancy, but I've spent a lot of time exploring ley lines and telluric energy...

Do you all do much of this?

One thing I've noticed though is that some ley lines seem to be far stronger than others... I've noticed this both by discovering very wide paths of energy, and with the help of my girl... She amazingly can feel ley lines without any tools, and sometimes says 'that one is a strong one.' My Mum has been dowsing ley lines for a few years though, and hasn't discovered this...

Any thoughts?

energy spots
I programmed my fluorite pendulum to dowse for energy lines and spots using the techniques described here http://mypage.direct.ca/j/jliving/landmine.htm

I took it out for a test drive when I was walking my doggy the other day. We went out to the place where the freeway collapsed in the '89 quake. I wasn't in the neighborhood at that time, so I don't exactly where people were trapped or died. When I moved out here the area was still being renovated, and people were still leaving wreaths hanging on fences. Now it is a nice landscaped area where we all walk our dogs. I figured that there must be some sort of energy something going on. The area that collapsed was something like a mile long, so I didn't walk up and down the entire length, but I did find one particular energy spot. I couldn't find any energy lines or ley lines, but there was one spot with some powerful distinct energy.

I was actually sort of expecting to find an energy line because there is a Native American burial ground near by, and I thought that maybe the two sites might be connected.

But anyway, this all sort of leads me to another issue. Sometimes, before an earthquake, there will be changes in the magnetic field. Even though the epicenter for the '89 earthquake was quite a distance south, I wonder if the magnetic field or anything was affected up in this area.

My Geomancy Library

Please remember that geomancy is an interest for me, mostly because there are aspects of it I like to write about. I post this only for interests sake and I would be interested in other recommendations. English, of course, is my main language, but I can read Spanish well enough to be passable and I'm open to tackle French and will try German.

In no particular order:
  1. Celtic Mysteries in New England, by Philip Imbrogno and Marianne Horrigan
  2. Interior Design With Feng Shui, by Sarah Rossbach
  3. Places of Power: Measuring The Secret Energy of Ancient Sources, by Paul Devereux
  4. The Geometry of Love: Space, Time, Mystery, and Meaning In An Ordinary Church, by Margaret Visser
  5. Secrets of Sacred Space: Discover and Create Places of Power, by Chuck Pettis
  6. Vastu in 10 Simple Lessons, by Bilkis Whelan

Agreed, not an extensive library, but please remember my interest is restricted to using geomancy as a worldview for a series of short stories. Any recommendations to round out my library?

How did you find out about Geomancy?
I read a book about elemental beings by the Geomancer Marko Pogacnik. What about you?
